I am Dr. Llorenç Mateo

At the University of Barcelona in 1995.

Resident via MIR in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at the Hospital Verge de la Cinta in Tortosa from 1997 to 2002. Specialist via MIR in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology since May 2002.

I have completed doctoral courses at the University of Barcelona in the Department of Surgery and surgical specialties (Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology Program)

I have worked as a Specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology in several hospitals in Catalonia: Hospital Sant Joan de Déu de Barcelona, ​​Hospital de Mollet, Hospital Clínic i Provincial de Barcelona and the Consorci Sanitari de l' Alt Penedès-Garraf (CSAPG) where I have held the position of Head of Service of COT for almost 20 years. I currently hold the position of Deputy Medical Director of the surgical teams of the CSAPG.

I have been a member of the Board of the Catalan Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology between 2015 and 2019 and I am currently a member of the Garraf Regional Board of the COMB since 2024.

I have taken several management courses, including the Lean Black Belt Practitioner from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.

I am currently a member of the driving group of the Health and Castles Chair at the University of Barcelona.

I am also a member of several scientific societies such as the Sociedad Española
of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT), Catalan Society of Surgery
Orthopedics and Traumatology (SCCOT), member of the AO Alumni Association,
member AO trauma Gold category and full member of the Academy of Sciences
Doctors from Catalonia and the Balearic Islands.
